Job summary

Howmet Aerospace has an opening for a Tool Readiness Operator in our Tucson, AZ location. This on-site, full-time role supports manufacturing by maintaining tool supply and tooling inventory for multiple machines.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in inventory management, hands-on experience with measuring tools, and a background in reading blueprints, with strong communication and attention to detail. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

2+ years experience in managing inventory.
2+ years experience in sales and purchasing knowledge.
Entry level position with emphasis on attention to detail and communication.
Manufacturing environment experience preferred or exposure to machinery.
Experience using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers and reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

Support manufacturing by maintaining tool supply for all machines and spare tooling inventory.
Measure, examine & test completed units to detect defects.
Order replacement and new parts for facility machinery.
Maintain inventory for machine tooling within drawing and specification requirements.
Communicate with vendors to ensure tooling meets specs and update specs with vendors as blueprints are updated.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Adhere to EH&S, Quality, Continuous Improvements and other company policies.
