Job summary

Irby Construction Company, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a detail-oriented Tooling Clerk to support day-to-day tooling, equipment, and administrative needs for its operations. This position maintains accurate tooling records, supports check-in/check-out processes, and provides general clerical support to help field and office teams operate efficiently.

This on-site role in Quinlan, Texas requires sharp attention to detail, basic computer skills, and clear communication with supervisors,

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in admin/logistics preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required.
• Basic computer skills; comfortable with Windows and Mac.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and ability to learn inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of tools, equipment, and inventory, including check-in/check-out activity.
• Assist with issuing, receiving, organizing, and tracking tools used by field/operations personnel.
• Support routine inventory counts and identify missing or damaged tools for follow-up.
• Enter and update tooling, inventory, and admin information in company systems or logs.
• Prepare, print, scan, file, and distribute documents and reports as needed.
• Monitor shared email and provide basic email communication with employees and vendors.
• Maintain organized electronic and paper tooling files and documentation.
• Coordinate with supervisors regarding tool availability, returns, repairs, and replacements.
• Document tools sent for repair, calibration, or replacement and update status.
