Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Tooling Engineer to design and refine tooling for ductile iron casting programs using SolidWorks. The role involves validating designs with MAGMA simulations and driving yield improvements across the process.

The candidate should have 2+ years of CAD experience, a background in tooling or foundry operations, and strong cross-functional communication to support new product development and launches.

Qualifications

• Two or more years hands-on CAD modeling and blueprint reading experience.
• Experience in tooling design, casting or CNC machining is a strong plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own yield improvement and continuous improvement across casting processes.
• Partner with customers and account managers on new product development.
• Support quoting, launches, testing and validation from start to finish.

Tooling Engineer, up to $100,000 (SolidWorks / Magma / Metal Casting Experience Required)

Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year

• Run casting simulations in MAGMA to validate designs before they hit the floor
• Own yield improvement and continuous improvement work across the casting process
• Partner directly with customers and account managers on new product development
• Support quoting, product launches, testing and validation from start to finish
• Bring new technology and process improvements into the operation

What we're looking for

• Associate degree in engineering or a related field, bachelor's preferred
• Two or more years working hands on with CAD modeling, blueprint reading and design for manufacturability
• Manufacturing background required, foundry, tooling design, casting simulation or CNC machining experience is a strong plus
• Strong problem solver who communicates well and works across teams easily
