Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years in a manufacturing environment as a mechanical/manufacturing engineer.
• Preferred: five years in tool and die design.
• Strong technical and analytical ability.
• Project management and organizational skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of engineering assignments to develop and implement production methods and controls meeting quality standards.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, resolve tooling and process problems, and improve efficiency.
• Evaluate process flow and plant layout; recommend improvements to reduce costs and improve safety.
• Develop costs for test data; provide technical analyses and production method recommendations.
• Review vendor proposals for new equipment and monitor upgrades and improvements.
• Ensure operations comply with approved methods and quality standards.
• Coordinate and develop manufacturing schedules for projects.
• Develop PFMEA control plans and schedules.
• Perform line validation and trial run management.
