Zachary Piper Solutions in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Tooling Design Engineer to design production tooling, fixtures, and other manufacturing hardware. This role emphasizes hands-on Siemens NX work and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver robust tooling solutions.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in tooling/mechanical design, strong NX skills, and a background in manufacturing tooling. This is a 6+ month contract with 40+ hours per week, onsite in Los Angeles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional industry experience in tooling design, mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with Siemens NX — required.
• Experience designing tooling, fixtures, jigs, weldments, mechanical assemblies, or manufacturing hardware.
• Experience creating 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Los Angeles, CA

• Develop 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings using Siemens NX.

This role will focus on designing production tooling, assembly fixtures, jigs, weldments, carts, and other manufacturing hardware while working closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of industry experience, strong hands-on Siemens NX experience, and a background in tooling, mechanical design, or manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design production tooling, assembly fixtures, jigs, weldments, carts, and other manufacturing hardware.
