Job summary

EquipmentShare in Memphis, TN is seeking a Tool Technician (Mechanic) to maintain and repair a range of tooling and small equipment on-site at our Memphis facility. You’ll manage service intervals, diagnose issues, and pull data from multiple models to keep equipment running reliably.

You will operate laptops and tablets for work orders, maintain documentation, and participate in OSHA‑related safety practices. This full-time role offers on-site hours with overtime potential.

Qualifications

• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand and power tools, schematics and diagrams.
• Construction knowledge and background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
• Use technology (laptops, tablets, and mobile phone) comfortably
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools (pneumatic tools, material lifts, chain hoists, core drills, welders, pipe threaders, small engines) under the supervision of higher-tier technicians and while using a high degree of independent judgment
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred)
• Year-round company provided OEM training
• Other duties, assigned as needed
