Job summary

Silgan Dispensing is seeking a mechanically inclined technician to assist with mold disassembly and assembly. You will move molds, take apart plates and components, and ensure all parts are cleaned before reassembling, performing pin changes and configuration adjustments as needed.

Responsibilities include cleaning parts with solvent, sandblasting and lubricating, following the preventative maintenance program, and storing parts correctly.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ work experience.
• 40 hour work week.
• Basic computer skills.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Experience in a Mechanical environment.
• Self-Starter.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mold disassembly and assembly.

• Follow the preventative maintenance program and PMs.
• Maintain a neat, organized work area and proper storage.
• May perform other duties as assigned when primary work is unavailable.

Job description

Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting with mold disassembly and assembly. Functions: Disassembly includes moving the molds, taking apart the plates and components and ensuring that all parts are cleaned before reassembling, pin changes configuration changes and PMs. Cleaning the parts also includes sandblasting and lubricating. Responsible for the cleaning of parts utilizing a solvent. Also responsible for following the preventative maintenance program. The program includes disassembly and cleaning of parts/molds/components. Cleans parts, protects from damage and stores in correct drawers. Performs general housekeeping duties including but not limited to sweeping and trash removal, cleaning plastic from molds and equipment cleaning. Maintains a neat and orderly work area, keeping walkways and aisles clear. When work in primary classification is not available, may perform other duties according to skill and availability.
