Job summary

Onboarding Resource, LLC is seeking a dependable Tool Room Attendant to manage the daily operation of the tool room and ensure shop employees have tools, equipment, and consumables to work safely and efficiently.

The role involves maintaining inventory, recording tool issuance, coordinating maintenance, and assisting with purchasing. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of communicating with leads, supervisors, suppliers, and management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience maintaining tool/inventory records preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient with basic computer applications including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of issued tools and monitor tool room inventory.
• Track tool locations, assignments, repairs, maintenance, and returns.
• Receive new tools and equipment and enter them into inventory.
• Schedule preventative maintenance and repairs for tools and equipment.
• Ensure tools and consumables are organized, labeled, and readily available.
• Supply tools, equipment, and consumables to shop employees as needed.
• Identify tool and equipment needs throughout the shop.
• Communicate with suppliers to request pricing and product information.
• Prepare and submit new purchase requests and coordinate with Purchasing for PO issuance.
• Maintain documentation for inventory, purchasing, maintenance, and reporting purposes.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify items to reorder.
• Work with multiple employees and requests simultaneously.
