SIG SAUER, Inc is seeking a Tool Room Machinist II for 1st shift at our Rochester, NH location. You will set up and run pre‑processed programs, work independently and with Engineering, Planners, and Quality to produce precision parts.

The role requires 2–4 years of machining experience on mills, lathes, and grinders, reading blueprints, and you must hold a high school diploma. Strong math, measurement, and tool selection skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of experience with mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Basic knowledge of geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to read and interpret programs; read blueprints and use measuring equipment.
• Tolerance of +/- 0.001 inches.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Clear verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run previously processed programs under limited supervision.
• Calculate feeds and speeds and select tooling with guidance.
• Report problems or quality concerns to senior Machinist or Supervisor.
• Change tooling on specified machines.
• Transact parts and maintain 5S standards.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and comply with safety and ISO procedures.
• Maintain regular on‑site attendance and punctuality; may work overtime or other areas as needed.
