Matthews Professional Employment, Inc. is seeking a Tool Room Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment to manufacture, repair, and modify precision tooling and components.

This role requires 3–5 years of experience, ability to read blueprints and GD&T, and proficiency with precision measuring tools. It offers 1st and 2nd shifts, direct hire, and competitive hourly pay of $35–$41.

Job Description

Tool Room Machinist

The Tool Room Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating manual and CNC machining equipment to manufacture, repair, and modify precision tooling, fixtures, machine components, and custom parts.

Requirements of the Tool Room Machinist

• 3–5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing or tool room environment
• Experience setting up and operating manual and CNC mills, lathes, grinders, or similar machining equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T
• Experience machining precision parts to close tolerances
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Tool & Die, mold making, or tooling repair experience is a plus
