Job summary

U‑Haul is seeking a Tool Repair Technician for our Walpole, MA assembly plant. The role involves repairing light to medium duty tools and small engines, with responsibilities including troubleshooting, parts inspection, and warehousing support. Strong hand-tool skills and basic computer use are required.

Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm, with weekends off. The position offers competitive hourly pay and a path for career advancement within a stable, employee-focused company.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of prior mechanical work experience with hand and/or power tools.
• Should have basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing light to medium duty power tools and hand tools.
• Dismantle tools and examine parts for defects; identify causes of malfunction.
• Document inventory levels and costs in inventory software.
• Complete daily maintenance and cleaning of work areas.
• Perform general warehousing tasks when necessary.
• Distribute materials throughout shop and yard.
• Clean, replace and/or repair parts; assist with day-to-day warehousing duties.
