Job summary

AUTOKINITON is hiring for a full-time machinist role at our Lebanon, TN site. You will maintain dies, set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and grinders, and ensure machined parts meet specifications. This position emphasizes safety and precision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

We value accuracy, adherence to blueprints, and the ability to read drawings for material selection and process planning, supporting our Tier 1 automotive components production.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Studies specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts and make repairs.
• Measures, marks, and scribes metal stock for machining.
• Determine specifications for inspection of work, using full range of precision measuring and gauging tools to perform inspection before, during and after machining.
• Performs extensive die maintenance such as rebuilding die sections, retrimming pads and forms and engineering changes on all types of dies.
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, blanchard and surface grinder to machine parts and verify conformance of machined parts to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lift machine parts and positions and secures parts on the surface place or work table.
• Smooth flat and contoured surfaces to fit and assemble parts together into assemblies and mechanisms.
