Job summary

Lennox International is hiring for an experienced machinist/ tooling technician in Orangeburg, SC. The role involves designing, building and repairing tools, jigs and dies to exact tolerances on manual or CNC machines, and troubleshooting complex tooling issues.

Requires a high school diploma (two-year degree preferred) and 3-5 years of related experience. The position is hourly, non-exempt, with overtime eligibility depending on hours worked and state law.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; a two year degree or equivalent preferred.
• 3-5 years related experience in tearing down units, troubleshooting, and repair of metalworking dies and tooling.
• Ability to read blueprints/diagrams and set up/operate to exact tolerances on manual or CNC tools.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds and repairs a variety of tools, jigs, fixtures and dies.
• Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock and adjusts dies to engineering changes.
• Troubleshoots equipment and performs complex repairs; mentors apprentices.
