Dover Food Retail (DFR) is seeking a Tool & Die Technician for our Virginia facility. You will inspect and design dies, set up CNC equipment, fabricate tools, and assist with prototypes while coordinating with engineering and maintenance teams.

Candidates should have a Machinist certificate or equivalent and 5+ years of tool & die experience, with proficiency in MasterCam, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. Night shifts and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• One year certificate in Machinist or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of experience in Tool & Die machine shop are required.
• MasterCam, AutoCAD and SolidWorks proficiency essential.

Geometry and Trigonometry· Experience with engine lathes, mill machines, jig bore, surface grinders, and press operation.· Blueprint reading and familiarity with MasterCam, AutoCAD and Solid Works are essential.· Basic skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet Explorer.**What are the preferred qualifications?**· A master-level trade role that involves crafting custom tools, complex molds, and progressive or transfer dies from scratch using blueprints and raw metal stock Some working knowledge of troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems· Focuses heavily on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair, and real-time adjustments of active production dies and stamping presses on the shop floor. **To be a great fit for the role:**· Good verbal and written communication skills.· Must have good teamwork and communication skills.· Must have ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently.· Must be able to work with little or no supervision and meet deadlines.. **Education:*** One year certificate from college or technical school (Machinist certificate); or equivalent.* HS Diploma/GED**Experience:*** Requires 5 or more years of experience in Tool & Die machine shop.
