Job summary

ABB Installation Products Division in Jonesboro, AR, is seeking a Tool & Die Machinist to analyze blueprints, set up and operate lathes, mills and related tools, and assemble dies and fixtures. You will work on metalworking dies and cutting tools to support production.

This onsite role requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent and experience with CNC lathes and mills. Shifts are 10 hours, Monday through Thursday, with overtime as needed to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent and related experience in tooling or die making.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches and specifications.
• Strong mathematical skills for measurement and layout.
• Experience operating CNC lathes and mills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely produce quality parts on a variety of machines.
• Study blueprints and models to determine materials and machines needed.
• Compute dimensions and plan layouts for machining.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders to machine parts.
• Verify conformance of machined parts to specifications.
• Lift and position parts and assemble components.
• Heat treat tools or parts as required.
• Review dies, tools and fixtures and suggest design improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.
