Job summary

NEXXTA in Mishawaka, IN is seeking a skilled Tool & Die specialist for full-time, 1st shift. You will assemble, repair, and inspect injection-mold tooling, interpret blueprints, and use CAD to size components. You must read gauges and operate tool room equipment to maintain quality.

Qualifications includeJourneyman Card in Tool & Die Making (or 8+ years experience), 3–5 years’ mold tool experience, and strong attention to detail. CAD/MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Card in Tool & Die Making preferred; eight years of documented experience acceptable without card.
• 3 to 5 years using hand-operated tool room equipment in mold repair/maintenance.
• Knowledge of plastic injection molding tool design and terminology.
• Able to read blueprints and tool drawings; interpret machine shop gauges.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble injection molding tools for maintenance and revisions.
• Inspect tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for condition and conformance to standards.
• Operate tool room equipment including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Read blueprints and evaluate design concepts for mold assemblies.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using gages and indicators.
• Transport tools and dies between production area and tool room.
