Job summary

Camaco in Lorain, OH is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to maintain, repair and build progressive dies and tooling for production. The role requires journeyman status or equivalent training and 5+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities include layout, drilling, milling, grinder work, and securing dies with proper fabrication and documentation. The candidate will operate presses and lifting equipment on the plant floor, with opportunities to contribute to tooling improvements and tooling

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with journeyman status in Tool & Die making or related on-the-job training.
• 5+ years of related work experience in die making and maintenance.
• Formal training or accredited certificate is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacture, repair and maintenance to progressive dies and rebuild or repair tooling.
• Layout and center drilling, reaming, lapping, tapping, countersinking and counter boring.
• Machine parts to blueprint specifications.
• Fabricate and/or repair dies for production.
• Layout existing die sections and replacements as needed.
• Make in-press repairs of tooling.
• Document and record data for the department.
• Drive hi-lo and operate crane to transport dies for maintenance or installation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
