Job summary

Marvin Composites is seeking a Tool and Die Maker at our Fargo, ND location to set up and operate CNC mills, wire EDMs, and surface grinders for precision tooling. You’ll program controls, inspect tooling, and support continuous improvement with a hands-on, team-oriented group.

The role requires 2+ years in Tool & Die or CNC Machining, or a technical degree in Precision Machining Technology, with a strong mechanical aptitude and collaboration with production teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as Tool & Die Maker or CNC Machinist
• Mechanical or technical proficiency to operate CNC mills and surface grinders
• Technical degree in Precision Machining Technology or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to manufacture dies and tooling
• Inspect and repair machining equipment and tooling to ensure quality
• Support production with troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with team to meet on-time delivery targets
• Maintain documentation and quality checks for tooling components

Job Overview

Marvin Composites is hiring a Tool and Die Maker at our Fargo, ND location. As a Tool and Die Maker, you will play a key role in setting up and operating CNC equipment in our modern, climate-controlled Tool and Die department! With our brand-new machinery at your disposal, we focus on delivering outstanding workmanship, supporting our production teams with timely repairs, and ensuring smooth, efficient operations. Schedule/Pay

12hr Overnight Shift: 6:30 PM – 6:45 AM

• Week 1 (36hrs): Sun, Wed, Thur
• Week 2 (48hrs): Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat
• Enjoy a 3-day weekend every other week! Work just 7 out of every 14 days, giving you more time for family, hobbies, or rest.

Base rate:$24–$42/hr

• Weekend premium:+$4.00/hr
• Overnight Premium: +20% of hourly rate
• Pay based on experience

Highlights of your role

• Work with advanced equipment in a well-equipped Tool and Die department, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines such as vertical mills, wire EDMs, and surface grinders to manufacture and modify precision dies and other tooling
• Create and edit programs on various controls to produce our high-end tooling
• Inspect, maintain, and repair machining equipment, tools, and dies to ensure top-quality performance
• Perform quality checks with measuring and gauging tools, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines for on-time delivery and minimal waste

• A team-focused mentality, with the ability to train and mentor
• A proactive approach to supporting production and solving challenges
• Two or more years of related experience as a Tool & Die Maker or CNC Machinist OR a technical degree such as a Precision Machining Technology
• Mechanical or technical proficiency to operate equipment such as CNC mill or surface grinder
