Job summary

Hickory Springs Manufacturing (HSM) is seeking a skilled Tool & Die technician at our Hickory, NC facility. You will design, build, repair, and maintain stamping dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and production tooling to support multiple industries.

You will operate manual and CNC machines, read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and mentor trainees while upholding safety, quality, and 5S standards.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprints, schematics and engineering drawings.
• Maintains tooling records and notes modifications.
• Understands safety, quality, and 5S standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, repair, and maintain stamping dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and production tooling.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment (lathes, Bridgeport mills, drill presses, grinders, saws).
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot tooling issues to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, height gauges and indicators.
• Mentor trainees or apprentices as needed.
