Job summary

Multimatic-In is seeking a skilled tool room technician to repair, maintain, and engineer changes to tooling and fixtures. You will assist in machine repair, setup, and operations while safely handling tools and gauges.

The role requires reading and applying safety and maintenance documentation, with a focus on problem solving and physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work varied shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; journeyman’s certification preferred or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating/maintenance instructions; write routine reports.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportion to practical situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and modify tools and fixtures; perform engineering changes.
• Assist technical services in machine repair, changeover, setup and operation as required.
• Safely operate all tool room equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble tooling, dies and gauges.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tooling problems.
• Work with tool steels, plastics, aluminum, and copper.
