Here is your chance to join the Crown Beverage Division.**Location:**Winchester, Virginia.**Duties And Responsibilities:**Reporting directly to the Plant Engineer, the Tool & Die’s responsibilities would include, but will not be limited to, the following:* Perform operations including but not limited to turning, facing, threading, drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, milling, grinding, knurling, rolling, cutting, etc., on any material to exacting tolerances and required micro-finish.* Design, machine, troubleshoot, and assemble special tooling into production dies.* Perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of machine shop and tool room practices and techniques, properties of various materials, and the principles of application and operations of various types of tools, jigs, fixture and dies.* Make repairs or alterations to end and can dies including the manufacture of replacement parts as needed, including hardened tool steel and carbide parts.* Use precision measuring instruments to assemble, fit, align, and adjust parts to exact tolerances.* Check tooling inventories, setup tool packs, measure precision tolerances and work with assembly set-ups.* Study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts.* Set-up and operation of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines and other equipment to machine parts.* Interact closely with the operations team to plan, trouble shoot and analyze production and equipment issues and concerns and come up with solutions.**Qualifications:**In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:Minimum Requirements / Preferences* High School Diploma or GED Preferred.* Exhibits safety and quality as top priority.* Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work environment, both as an independent contributor and as a team player* Cross training / mutli-skilling in other functions will be a basic expectation of any person hired.* Detail oriented and very accurate* Candidates must be flexible to work any shift and OT as required.Competencies* Problem solving skills through an individual and/or collaborative approach.* Ability to work independently and with a team.* Excellent time management skills and multi-tasking.* Excellent oral and written communication skills.Physical Requirements* While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.* The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.* Ability to walk up and down stairs / platforms.* Ability to climb ladders (to include rolling ladders), up to 20ft to perform work.Working Conditions* Manufacturing plant environment.* While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be exposed to lifting, moving machinery, and forklift traffic.* Production noise level is frequently loud.\*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.**Benefits:**Crown offers competitive pay (starting rate $32.28/hr. with progressions and $0.98/hr shift differential), comprehensive benefits including free company paid medical, dental, vision, life, and disability pay, vacation, holidays, 100 % paid pension plan, education assistance.
