Job summary

DAVRON, LLC in Tyrone, GA is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker to build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain stamping dies used in the production line. The role focuses on progressive, transfer, and single-hit dies to sustain high quality and uptime.

Qualified candidates will have at least 5 years in tool and die making for metal stamping, plus 3+ years direct stamping toolmaking experience. You will interpret complex drawings and operate manual mills and lathes to meet tight tolerances.

• Ability to interpret blueprints, GD&T, and die designs.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and debug stamping dies (progressive, transfer, and line dies).
• Perform die maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance activities.
• Diagnose tooling issues and implement corrective actions to support production.
• Interpret blueprints, part drawings, and die designs (including GD&T and part specifications).

Step into a precision-driven manufacturing environment in Tyrone, GA where metal stamping tooling work makes a direct impact on production quality and uptime. In this Tool & Die Maker opportunity, you’ll build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain progressive, transfer, and single-hit dies that keep our stamping value stream running efficiently.

Qualifications and responsibilities for this Tool & Die Maker position include:

• 5+ years of experience as a tool and die maker in metal stamping and fabrication; 3+ years with direct metal-stamping toolmaking experience considered
• Build, assemble, and debug stamping dies (progressive, transfer, and line dies)
• Perform die maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance activities
• Diagnose tooling issues and implement corrective actions to support production
• Interpret blueprints, part drawings, and die designs (including GD&T and part specifications)
• Operate manual machining equipment (manual mills required; lathe experience expected)
• Perform precision fitting, spotting, and timing of die components
• Support tryouts for new tooling and engineering changes; maintain proper documentation

Salary: $30 - $38 per hour, with possible flexibility above range; quarterly bonus based on company performance.
