Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various machining processes. This role involves designing, fabricating, and maintaining tools and dies used in the production of plastic injection molded parts. The Tool and Die Maker will work closely with engineers and production staff to ensure high-quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate tools, dies, and fixtures for production processes.
• Operate CNC machines and other machining equipment to create precision parts.
• Interpret schematics and technical drawings to determine specifications.
• Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure accuracy in tooling.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues related to tooling or production.
• Weld components as necessary to complete tooling projects.
• Conduct quality inspections on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tool and Die Maker or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in CNC programming and operation is preferred.
• Experience with plastics injection molding processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with machining techniques such as milling, turning, and grinding.
• Ability to fabricate complex components using various materials.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
