Qualifications

Job Responsibilities:

1. General knowledge of troubleshooting, materials and methods, machines and tools, and practical application of tooling.
2. Sound understanding and knowledge of die work/operations.
3. Sound understanding and machine knowledge, able to run all tool room equipment including measuring instruments.
4. Sound understanding and knowledge of Press and Assembly Operations and Quality procedures.
5. Must be able to provide own tools.
6. Must have basic knowledge of drafting (blueprint reading, dimension drawings, etc.).
7. Basic knowledge in automation.
8. Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.

Education:

High School diploma or GED. Post-secondary education preferred in tool and die.

Technical Training:

Minimum of two years on-the-job training with heavy industrial manufacturing experience in skilled trade capacity.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in tool and die capacity.

Additional Skills or Abilities:

Journeyman Certification is a plus.
