Job summary

Alstom seeks a skilled Tool Designer in Plattsburgh to create tooling solutions that optimize rail manufacturing. You will own complex tooling projects, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver robust tools that meet stringent safety and quality standards.

With 5+ years in tooling design and proficiency in CATIA V5, you will contribute to scalable tooling systems and mentor junior designers while driving continuous improvement across production teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of tooling design or related experience.
• Expertise in CATIA V5 for tooling projects.
• Strong GD&T knowledge for mechanical components.
• Experience designing fixtures, weldments and tooling solutions.
• Experience with machining, fabrication and manufacturing processes.
