Job summary

Gasbarre Products in DuBois, PA is seeking a Tool Design Engineer to lead tooling design during new job development and to maintain tooling drawings on site. You will work with customers and internal teams to ensure design quality and project timing.

The role requires a 4-year engineering degree, strong CAD skills (2D/3D), MasterCAM and SolidWorks experience, and familiarity with PM tooling and manufacturing processes. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in PM tooling, 2D CAD, and 3D CAD is required.
• Experience in MasterCAM and Solidworks is preferred.
• Shape to CAD experience.
• FEA, structural analysis experience.
• Machining experience is preferred.
• PM Tool Processing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer requests and examine technical drawings to resolve design issues, assure product quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide technical assistance to customers as needed.
• Stay current with new software and manufacturing processes.
• Research new tooling concepts as required.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities in existing tooling.
• Work between internal departments to improve efficiency of manufacturing operations.
• Perform any other task or duty as requested / required.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Tool Design Engineer will be responsible for leading tooling design efforts during new job development, as well as maintaining and updating existing tooling drawings. This position is a customer interactive and requires a candidate that is dependable, punctual, accountable, and respectful.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Evaluate customer requests and examine technical drawings to resolve design issues, assure product quality, and customer satisfaction.
