Job summary

BD is seeking a Tool Crib Technician to support mechanics by managing spare parts and equipment inventory at our El Paso facility. You will receive, verify, and file parts, create purchase requisitions via SAP or Buy Smart, and ensure accuracy in quantities, costs, and part numbers.

Responsibilities include maintaining a 5S-conforming spare parts room, processing on-time deliveries, counting stock against reports, and enforcing GMPs across maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain spare parts room following 5S methodology and inventory control accuracy.
• Meet requirements of issues and deliveries of spare parts & equipment on time; plan requisitions via SAP or Buy Smart.
• Keep control of open orders by receiving spare parts & equipment on time; stock to designated locations.
• File all receiving documents and verify against invoices.
• Verify physical stock count against computer generated inventory reports.
• Retrieve and distribute parts to maintenance personnel; follow GMPs.
• Order parts from contracted vendors not in stock when needed for repairs.
• Perform other microbiology laboratory activities as assigned.

Job Description

The Tool Crib Technician provides support to mechanics respecting to spare parts search. Responsible for managing maintenance spare parts and equipment inventory. Receive spare parts and equipment purchased, verifying appropriate quantities, cost and part numbers. Make purchase requisitions when needed thru SAP or Buy Smart. Performs all these activities in compliance with company’s personnel safety, quality systems as well as 5s methodology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain spare parts room following 5s methodology and inventory control accuracy
• Meet requirements of issues and deliveries of spare parts & equipment on time Plan requirements and create purchase requisitions of spare parts and/or equipment.
• Keep control of open orders by receiving the spare parts & equipment on time. Stocking of spare parts & equipment to designated locations.
• File all the receiving documents.
• Get the control cycles requested; Verifies physical stock count against computer generated inventory reports.
• Retrieve and distribute parts to maintenance personnel. Follow up on any other additional activity requested.
• Complies and enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Orders parts from contracted vendors that are not in stock but are required immediately for a mechanical repair.
• Verifies physical stock count against computer generated inventory reports
• Perform other microbiology laboratory activities as assigned by the supervisor.
