Job summary

BD is a global medical technology leader seeking a Spare Parts/Inventory Associate in El Paso, TX. You will maintain the spare parts room, manage inventory, and ensure on-time delivery of parts and equipment.

The role supports maintenance operations and requires knowledge of ERP systems and strong organizational skills. Responsibilities include processing purchase requisitions, stocking parts, documenting receipts, and enforcing GMP standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in tool cribs.
• GED or High School Diploma.
• Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
• ERP systems experience such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards; proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain spare part's room following 5s methodology and inventory control accuracy.
• Meet requirements of issues and deliveries of spare parts & equipment on time. Plan requirements and create purchase requisitions of spare parts and/or equipment.
• Keep control of open orders by receiving the spare parts & equipment on time.
• Stocking of spare parts & equipment to designated locations.
• File all the receiving documents.
• Get the control cycles requested; Verifies physical stock count against computer generated inventory reports.
• Retrieve and distribute parts to maintenance personnel. Follow up on any other additional activity requested.
• Complies and enforces Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Orders parts from contracted vendors that are not in stock but are required immediately for a mechanical repair.

Education and Experience

• Experience in tool cribs

• Experience:
• General knowledge of the proper use of parts manuals and supply catalogs
• ERP Systems experience such as SAP, ORACLE,JD Edwards, etc. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Access)
• Principles and practices of inventory management/control and work safety.

Knowledge and Skills

• Basic mathematics.
• Applicant should have excellent verbal & telephone skills.
• Maintain accurate & organized records.
• Good communication skills, oral and written at different levels.

Physical Demands

• Physical ability to do work requiring frequent stopping, climbing stairs, twisting and bending frequently (more than 4 hours of each activity).
• Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instruction and visually inspect parts
• Able to lift and push 50 lbs safely.
