Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a robust tool control program with policies, procedures, inventories, shadow boards, tracking systems, and inspections.
  • Lead daily tool room operations ensuring tool availability for maintenance and field operations.
  • Establish and maintain tool control documentation aligned with regulatory and internal quality requirements.
  • Oversee the tool calibration program.
  • Conduct tool audits, inspections, and discrepancy investigations with timely resolution.
  • Train technicians on tool control standards, procedures, and safety expectations.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, safety, supply chain, and engineering teams to meet requirements.
  • Manage tool procurement, calibration scheduling, repair processes and replacements.
  • Monitor and report tool control metrics and program performance to leadership.
  • Identify and drive improvements to tool control processes and workflows.
  • Ensure OSHA, FAA, DoD, and internal safety/quality standards are met.

The Tool Control Coordinator is responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive tool control program modeled after commercial and military aviation standards. This role will develop and enforce policies, processes, and accountability systems that ensure all tools used within maintenance operations are tracked, controlled, and compliant with aviation safety and regulatory requirements. The Tool Control Coordinator role will coordinate daily tool room operations, support maintenance and air vehicle operator teams, and oversee the lifecycle of controlled tools and equipment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop and implement a robust tool control program, including policies, procedures, tool inventories, shadow boards, tracking systems, and inspection protocols.
  • Lead the daily operations of tool rooms and tool issue points, ensuring full accountability and availability of tools to support maintenance work and field operations.
  • Establish and maintain tool control documentation aligned with regulatory, OEM, and internal quality requirements.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the tool calibration program.
  • Conduct regular tool audits, inspections, and discrepancy investigations, ensuring timely resolution and reporting of missing or damaged tools.
  • Train technicians on tool control standards, handling procedures, documentation accuracy, and safety expectations.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, safety, supply chain, and engineering teams to ensure tools and equipment meet program and aircraft operational requirements.
  • Manage tool procurement, calibration scheduling, repair processes, and replacement planning.
  • Monitor and report tool control metrics, compliance findings, and program performance to senior leadership.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvements to tool control processes, systems, and workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure operations comply with OSHA, FAA, DoD, and internal safety/quality standards as applicable.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of Inventory Clerk with ERP experience
  • Able to work 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm
  • Minimum 1 year work experience as an Inventory Clerk or similar role
  • Excellent math and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience with software such as Microsoft Excel and other company spreadsheet programs
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
  • Personal accountability and integrity are paramount, as an Inventory clerk is tasked with an accurate accounting of all inventory
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, as many packages are large
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ year of ERP inventory experience
  • Forklift Operator Certified
  • Experience with RFID scanner inventory systemsManufacturing experience
  • MS Office experience

$28 - $42 an hour

Full-time regular employee offer package:
