• Experience with precision measurement tools and quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new tools, dies, and fixtures.
• Repair and maintain existing tooling to ensure production continuity.

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine tooling requirements.
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges.

Recommended Qualifications

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program in Tool and Die Making or a related field

• Proficient in interpreting blueprints, schews, and engineering specifications
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment processes, and material properties
• Experience with precision measurement tools and quality control procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling and die issues independently

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam) for design and programming
• Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machinery (e.g., mills, lathes, EDM)
• Demonstrated ability to perform advanced metrology and inspection using tools like CMMs or optical comparators
• Experience with heat treatment processes and material science related to tool steels
• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification/experience for process optimization
