You will read blueprints, operate mills and lathes, and use precision measuring tools while contributing to quality improvements. Starting pay is $34.08 per hour, with potential overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain high-quality production by working with strict tolerances.
• Refurbish and repair tools and measuring instruments.
• Analyze defective parts with Engineers to determine corrective action.
• Operate tool and die equipment including CNC grinders, lathes, mills.
• Perform quality checks on tooling and overhaul gearboxes, pumps.
• Adhere to safety procedures and promote teamwork.

Starting pay is $34.08 per hour

Responsibilities

• Work with strict manufacturing tolerances to ensure high-quality production performance.
• Refurbish and repair tools and measuring instruments to ensure accurate performance.
• Analyze defective parts, tooling, etc. with Engineers, Supervisors, and Mechanics to determine source of trouble and recommend corrective action.
• Perform tool and die machining tasks using blueprints, written procedures, and verbal instructions.
• Measure and calculate raw material requirements, selecting the appropriate tools, equipment, jigs, and fixtures for each task.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and rebuild tooling for can‑making machinery as needed.
• Perform quality checks on incoming tooling and take appropriate action.
• Maintain and overhaul gearboxes, pumps, and other production equipment.
• Catalog, organize, and issue production tooling to maintain operational efficiency.
• Operate CNC grinders and other tool and die machine shop equipment, including lathes, mills, welders, and plasma cutters.
• Adhere to safe working practices, including lockout and tagout procedures, to protect yourself and others.
• Work with team members and management to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; trade school with required experience.
• A minimum of 2–5 years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use mechanical tools and measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Ability to operate required machinery such as mills, lathes, surface grinders, welders, etc.
• Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints and technical manuals.
• Reliable and able to meet deadlines while working with minimal supervision.
