Job summary

Adient in Battle Creek is seeking a Tool and Die Maker under the direction of a Tooling Supervisor to repair dies and make adjustments as needed to run dies in accordance with the customers’ standards.

The role requires 1-2 years in sheet metal stamping, experience with large transfer and progressive dies, and the ability to lift 40 lbs. This is a 2nd shift position with a pay rate of $37.54–$39.14 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years experience in sheet metal stamping facility or similar.
• 1–2 years experience with large transfer and progressive dies.
• Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently.
• Stand 8+ hours; walk to assist in seat build, rework, etc.
• Be able to work 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot conditions in a production setting.
• Perform die set operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on metal stamping dies.
• Perform quality checks.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.

Job Summary

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Tool and Die Maker must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting
• Perform die set operations
• Perform preventative maintenance on metal stamping dies
• Perform quality checks
• Perform other duties as required
• Tool and Die Maker must complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a sheet metal stamping facility or similar experience
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience with large transfer and progressive dies
• Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework
• Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc.
• Be able to work 2nd shift

• Journeyman Tool and Die Card from the Department of Labor
