Job description

Who is NTE, NTE 35W, and LBJ?

The North Tarrant Express (NTE) was the first design-build-finance-operate-maintain managed lanes project in Texas, involving the complete reconstruction of 13.3 miles of the I-820/SH-183 corridor between Dallas and Fort Worth. Since opening in October 2014, it has reduced congestion time by 70% and increased average speed by 15%. This project, led by Cintra, has doubled capacity and improved mobility across six cities in Northeast Tarrant County.

The North Tarrant Express 35W (NTE 35W) project spans 16.8 miles from I-30 in downtown Fort Worth to Eagle Parkway at Alliance Airport. Managed by a Cintra-led consortium, it enhances mobility through additional general lanes, frontage roads, and tolled express lanes with variable pricing to maintain traffic flow.

The LBJ Express (LBJ) is Texas's largest P3 operation and one of the largest in the U.S., alleviating severe congestion in north Dallas. Selected in 2009, the project involves design, construction, finance, operation, and maintenance along I-635 and I-35E. Since September 2015, it has decreased congestion time by 60% and increased average speeds by 10%.
