The Goddard School is seeking a motivated Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in a welcoming, child-centered classroom in Westfield. You will help implement engaging activities, monitor safety, and communicate with families to support each child's growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with young children in licensed childcare or preschool settings preferred
• Strong empathy and patience with children
• Ability to follow and implement lesson plans and safety guidelines

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher with age-appropriate lesson plans
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive and physical development
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure safety and cleanliness
• Supervise and provide individualized support to children
• Communicate with parents about child progress and activities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines
• Support routine child care tasks to foster a nurturing learning environment
