Job summary

Montessori Beginnings School seeks a Toddler Teacher to create a warm Montessori-inspired classroom that encourages independence and curiosity. You will plan age-appropriate activities, observe child development, and work with families to support each child.

The role requires Massachusetts EEC toddler certification, at least one year of early childhood experience, and CPR/First Aid training (employer-paid if needed). Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM, with 35–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts EEC Toddler Certification required.
• At least 1 year of early childhood classroom experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain Employer-paid training.
• Ability to regularly get up and down from the floor and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, engaging Montessori-inspired classroom that encourages independence and exploration.
• Plan meaningful, age-appropriate learning experiences and maintain consistent, positive daily routines.
• Observe and support each child's development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate warmly with families.
• Support daily care, including toileting, meals, and outdoor play.
• Maintain a safe, organized environment that meets licensing requirements.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Massachusetts EEC Teacher certification appropriate for toddlers.
• At least one year of early childhood classroom experience.
• A dependable, punctual team player who communicates openly, collaborates with colleagues, and takes initiative.
• A warm, energetic personality and a genuine love for young children.
• Montessori experience is a plus, but not required.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to complete employer-paid training.
• Ability to regularly get up and down from the floor and safely lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Schedule & Benefits

Monday–Friday | Approximately 8:30 AM–4:30 PM

35–40 hours per week, depending on scheduling needs.
