Job summary

Primrose School Franchising SPE, LLC is seeking a Toddler Teacher to join the Primrose School of Brier Creek team. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, focusing on supervising a group of toddlers within a supportive classroom environment.

You will implement age-appropriate lesson plans, monitor developmental progress, and collaborate with leadership on conferences and evaluations. A commitment to safety and a nurturing approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with handling of children.
• Must have current NC Background Check Qualifying Letter.
• Must have current physical and TB (within the last year).

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervision and daily class functions for a group of children.
• Follow health, safety and care regulations for Primrose School of Brier Creek.
• Assess each child's developmental needs regularly.
• Implement the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum and daily schedule.
• Plan parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations with Leadership Team.
• Maintain a clean, engaging classroom that encourages exploration and confidence.
• Provide clear behavior expectations and positive reinforcement.
• Support housekeeping duties of classroom, common areas and playgrounds.
• Attend required staff meetings and trainings.
• Present a professional appearance per employee guidelines.
• Assist in other duties as needed by the Director.

Do you love working with Children? Do you have a passion for making a difference? We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Toddler Teacher to join our team! The position is Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm.

Primary Responsibilities

• Is responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Brier Creek and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
• Assesses each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
• Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum and programming.
• Plans with a member of the Leadership Team the parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
• Maintains an attractive, well‑kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
• Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
• Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
• Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
• Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School of Brier Creek Employee Handbook.
• Assists in other capacities that Director, or designee, determines is necessary.

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
• Must have current NC Background Check Qualifying Letter from the Division of Child Development.
• Must have current physical and TB (within the last year).
