La Mère Academy is seeking a caring, energetic teacher/assistant to supervise daily classroom activities and support the developmental needs of young children. The role emphasizes a nurturing approach, professional conduct, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Love of small children and nurturing approach.
• Friendly, enthusiastic demeanor with strong work ethic and professionalism.
• High School Diploma, GED, or higher; degree in early childhood or CDA preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Must meet local child care regulatory requirements.
• Prior teaching or assistant teaching in a licensed early childhood program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily class activities for a group of children.
• Ensure compliance with La Mère Academy policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assess each child’s developmental needs regularly.
• Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
• Plan parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations with Leadership Team.
• Maintain a clean, engaging classroom that encourages creativity and decision making.
