Job summary

University of Miami is seeking a Case Worker to join the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health on the Miami campus. You will coordinate tobacco cessation services, educate providers, and develop community partnerships to promote tobacco-free environments and workplace wellness initiatives.

The role involves planning and delivering cessation classes, counseling, and support groups, with HIPAA compliance and data collection. Evening/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health/mental health related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant tobacco prevention/cessation experience.
• Strong communication and bilingual skills preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead Systems Change activities with focus on Hospitality industry partners in Miami-Dade County.
• Coordinate needs assessments, MOAs, and sustainability plans.
• Deliver tobacco cessation services, register and enroll clients into classes, conduct counseling sessions.
• Record data in medical records and report program outcomes.
