Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Certification as Food Safety Manager or ability to achieve within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manages the Food Lion To Go operations, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of department associates and provide ongoing performance management.
• Maintain effective work schedules for To Go associates to meet online order demands.
• Provide leadership aligned with Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure fresh orders and handle out of stocks properly.
• Ensure proper handling of return-to-stock items, especially perishables.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through ordering, supplies and equipment.
• Understand and use company tools like ACIS, scheduling, CAO, and reporting systems.
• Ensure store appearance, food safety and sanitation standards.
• Understand scheduling, wages, interviewing, training and company information to manage To Go operations.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents when needed.
• Adhere to guidelines, policies and security standards.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Provide recognition of accomplishments and constructive counseling as needed.
