Job summary

Food Lion in Angier, NC is seeking a friendly associate to deliver fast, accurate service at the Front End. You will greet customers, scan and bag purchases, and support the To-Go lead in maintaining standards and efficiency.

This role requires good communication, teamwork, and the ability to learn multiple tasks. Physical stamina is important for standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing CBT training. Food Lion is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Smiles, greets each customer, uses name whenever possible and provides prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience
• Exhibit behaviors that align with Food Lion's guiding principles, core values, vision, and strategy
• Shop multiple customer orders using designated tools and equipment
• Scan, bag, and label purchases efficiently and accurately
• Verify IDs and observe store policies for alcoholic beverages
• Assist customers picking up orders
• Complete Accountability Form from end to end
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge on duty
• Control store expenses through proper use of store supplies
• Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices
• Notify QA of any cleaning issues or maintenance required
• Complete CBT and Training Aid courses
• Perform all other duties as assigned
