Job summary

Amentum is seeking a TMO Specialist to perform limited technical supply management tasks, including inventory control, storage planning, and material coordination for depot and maintenance activities at a US-based site.

You will verify materials against receiving documents, route items to storage locations, assist with palletizing and shipping prep, operate hand or power trucks, and support quality assurance activities while adhering to government and company policies.

Qualifications

• Three years of material/supply functions experience in military or commercial settings.
• Knowledge of governing supply systems, nomenclature and manuals.
• Must obtain/maintain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance.

Responsibilities

• As directed, perform warehousing duties and follow the storage plan.
• Verify materials against receiving documents and report discrepancies.
• Route materials to prescribed storage locations.
• Store, stack, or palletize materials per prescribed methods.
• Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials.
• Inspect stored materials, report deterioration, and prep for shipment.
• May operate hand or power trucks for warehousing tasks.
• Conduct quality assurance duties including inspections and checks.

Purpose andScope:

The TMO Specialist performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, propertyutilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies, and equipment.Responsible for material coordination for special programs, maintenance, or production shops. Responsible for cataloging supply channels of a particular agency or field establishment. Works within a framework of established supply regulations, policies, and procedures, or other governing supply management guidelines.Deals with a variety of operating officialsregardinglimited aspects of program needs of the organization serviced. Contacts may relate to inventory requirements in a stable or standardized organization and to the adequate description or identification of less complex items which are new to the system. May contact representatives of commercial firms to obtain informationregardingnew itemsof supply, item characteristics, or procurement lead time; or representatives of government agencies (Federal,Stateor local)regardingtheutilizationof property.

Essential Responsibilities:

• As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties, which require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.
• Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents,notingand reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
• Routing materials to prescribed storage locations.
• Storing, stacking, or palletizing materialsin accordance withprescribed storage methods.
• Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials.
• Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
• Mayoperatehand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
• Perform miscellaneous quality assurance duties including inspections, inventory process checks, inspecting and examining materials, article inspections, etc.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• High school degree or equivalent is desirable.
• Three (3) years of material/supply functions,either inthe military services or incommercial applications.
• Preferred - Class B CDL.
• Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods,manualsor other established guidelines.
• Analytical ability to define problems, collect necessary data,establishfacts, and to take recommended action based upon applicable established guidelines
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance.
• NOTE: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
• Position may require travel.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical warehouse environment with no unusual hazards, frequent lifting to 20-60 pounds, kneeling, standing, and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, mustpossessplanning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
