TMC Bonham Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that includes both primary care and specialty physicians. Reporting to the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, The Trauma Program Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, smooth running and evaluation of the Trauma Program and Trauma Team. Responsibilities encompass not only the internal functioning of the Trauma Program, but also the integration of the hospital program with the local community including pre-hospital providers, as well as integration into the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council and the State of Texas. Responsible to act as the hospital EMS liaison and coordinate collaboration, education, communication, process improvement and case reviews. Support an Always Culture for service excellence and practice the service excellence standards to all customer groups. the Trauma manager helps to lead the trauma team, mentor and grow while facilitating the Trauma Program within TMC Bonham. The Trauma Manager works directly with the ED Manager to develop processes and efficiencies in providing trauma level care to the communities we serve. The Trauma Manager will help to develop this team.Assume shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to the patient, family, care partner and appropriate others. Coordinates multi-disciplinary team members, directs and facilitates nursing staff in obtaining safe, optimal healthcare outcomes. Supports activities that meet the facility vision, mission and goals. Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the State of Texas, or compact required, BSN preferred.
• Three years experience in acute nursing.
• One year mangerial or charge nurse/supervisory experience.
• Experience in or actively involved in system wide/multi-disciplinary committees/projects.
• Must maintain all clinical competencies for area of supervision.
• Current RQI BLS, ACLS and PALS, certifications.
• TNCC and Trauma Outcomes Performance Improvement Course (TOPIC) within 1 year.
• Must maintain all additional certifications required by area of supervision.
• Clinical certification in area of supervision preferred (i.e.CEN, TCEN, etc.)
• Must be clinically competent in area of population served.
• Possess initiative and be self directed to establish course of action for self and others to accomplish goals in concert with organizational objectives.
• In a collaborative approach, implement plans of action and perform appropriate follow-up activities.
• Possess analytical skills necessary in order to gather and analyze data, prepare reports, and recommend appropriate action plans and evaluate results.
• Must have intermediate level skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and other computer programs desirable.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to successfully handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
