Job summary

Mclemore-Building-Maintenanc in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Facility Cleaner for days, nights and weekend shifts. The role involves cleaning buildings by trash disposal, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining clean surfaces, in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring security, using approved cleaning solutions with PPE, cleaning windows and restrooms, and reporting equipment repairs. Travel is not required and shifts start on time.

• Dust furniture and scrub surfaces; service restrooms with disinfectants.
• Arrive on time for the shift and complete work within the allotted time.
• Identify and report needed repairs on equipment.
• Cross-train on other duties or areas as assigned.

Job Skills / Requirements

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean buildings by emptying trash, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning surfaces as assigned.
• Monitor building’s security and safety by locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Properly use cleaning solutions and chemicals to remove stains and clean surfaces.
• Use approved cleaning solutions with proper PPE as required and must follow SDS.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using proper cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust furniture and scrub surface clean.
• Clean and service restrooms with mops and proper disinfectants.
• Arrive on time for the shift as scheduled and complete all work in the allotted time.
• Identify and report needed repairs on equipment to ensure they are well-maintained.
• Cross-train on other duties or areas as assigned by Supervisor.
