Job summary

Camino Nuevo Charter Academy (CNCA) seeks a Teacher Assistant – Transition Kindergarten (TK) to support Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students. You will assist with instruction and activities that help students meet educational goals.

The role requires working under school leadership and with a TK classroom teacher to implement lesson plans and support student development. Multilingual abilities and teamwork are valued in CNCA's diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 48 semester units (and/or passed CBEST).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) required or desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as in-class support for TK and K students.
• Assist with lesson plans, co-planning and co-teaching.
• Support learning of alphabet, counting, patterns and social skills.
• Regularly report progress and assist with program modifications.
• Maintain student records of attendance and achievement.
• Collaborate with teachers to meet individual student needs.
• Integrate educational technology to strengthen teaching/learning.
