Responsibilities

• Create Shop Drawings: Utilize AutoCAD software to develop detailed shop drawings.
• Interpret Architectural Drawings: Read and interpret architectural drawings and bid documents.
• Design Documentation: Create detailed design documentation and specifications.
• Material Research: Assist in the selection and research of materials for products.
• Client Communication: Maintain good communication with clients to ensure drawings meet or exceed expectations.
• Work Sequencing: Recommend work sequencing in conjunction with the Production Manager.
• Revise and Update Drawings: Collaborate with the Project Manager to revise and update existing drawings, ensuring consistent documentation of the project.
• Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Education and Experience

AutoCAD Experience: Minimum of three years of experience with AutoCAD and associated tools.

Architectural Plan Interpretation: Minimum of three years of experience in reading and interpreting architectural plans and specifications to produce accurate shop drawings.

Commercial Millwork Experience: Experience in commercial millwork.

Woodworking Technology: Thorough understanding of woodworking technology, including CNC, edge banding, doweling, and clamps.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNC Machine Code: Experience in sending code from AutoCAD to CNC machines.
• Microvellum Familiarity: Familiarity with Microvellum software is a plus but not required.
