Job summary

Triumph seeks a CNC Programmer Specialist for our Macomb, MI location. The role focuses on writing complex milling programs for aerospace gears and housings using Mastercam, selecting tools, and designing fixtures.

You will support production on the shop floor and contribute to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has an associate degree in manufacturing technologies, 5+ years with Mastercam, and strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in Manufacturing Technologies.
  • Five years’ experience using Mastercam (recent).
  • Three years 3D modeling with Mastercam.
  • Experience with simultaneous 5 axis programming.
  • Experience with Mill-Turn programming.
  • Strong cutting tool knowledge.
  • Reading blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing orders.
  • Knowledge of basic aerospace measuring tools.
  • Familiarity with GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Create complex mill programs for aerospace gears and housings using Mastercam.
  • Specify and determine efficient cutting tools for all features being machined.
  • Design tools and fixtures using Mastercam.
  • Support shop floor production.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a CNC Programmer Specialist for our Macomb, MI Location.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating complex mill programs for aerospace gears and housings using Mastercam.
  • Responsible for specifying/determining the most efficient cutting tools for all features being machined.
  • Designing tools and fixtures using Mastercam.
  • Supporting shop floor production
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree in Manufacturing Technologies
  • Five years’ experience (must be recent) using Mastercam
  • Three years 3D modeling experience with Mastercam
  • Experience with simultaneous 5 axis programming
  • Experience with Mill-Turn Programming
  • Must have strong cutting tool knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with basic aerospace measuring tools
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and part detailing
  • Basic Computer Skills: proficient with Microsoft Word & Excel etc.
  • Capable of effectively reading blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing orders
  • Experience creating detailed step by step work instructions and sketches for the manufacture of complex parts
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer or documentation, etc.
  • Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment
  • Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or paper format
