Job summary

Lennar Title is seeking a Title Officer in the Myrtle Beach area. Preference for on-site work at the Cornelius division branch, with possible remote arrangements.

The role requires a valid title license in NC, SC, or GA to be eligible. You will review title searches, draft commitments, and ensure underwriting guidelines are met to support closing and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Examine title search documents to determine requirements to clear title, exceptions, legal description, and vested owners.
  • Evaluate documents for insurability of the property and the insured parties.
  • Create and revise title commitments as needed.
  • Verify rates and coverage on title commitments per client instructions and underwriting guidelines.
  • Ensure title products are completed on time and to high quality.
  • Determine order priority and client needs under supervisor guidance.
  • Communicate with office staff and clients about coverage issues or defects that may impact closing.
  • Inform supervisors of issues that could affect closing or client satisfaction.
  • Meet and exceed attorney clients' needs by completing tasks and aiding team members when possible.

Title Officer

Preference for boarding on‑site at the Cornelius division branch; remote work may be considered.

Must hold a title license in the state of North Carolina, South Carolina, or Georgia to be eligible.

Overview

The Title Officer obtains preliminary title opinions from an attorney, analyzes records for residential properties and entities, and ensures that title meets our guidelines to issue a title commitment. The work involves evaluating title searches, preparing commitments, and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines.

Your Responsibilities
  • Examine title search documents to determine requirements to clear title, exceptions, legal description, and vested owners.
  • Evaluate documents for insurability of the property and the insured parties.
