Responsibilities

  • Participate in structure on-the-job training for machine operations and manufacturing processes.
  • Read and follow work instructions, drawings and specifications and other manufacturing documentation.
  • Perform basic machine loading, unloading, cleaning, and material handling.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and aerospace manufacturing standards.
  • Ask questions and seek guidance when instructions or requirements are unclear.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and preventative upkeep, reporting equipment concerns as needed.
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and overall shop organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrate consistent progress through the training program and work toward qualification as a Machine Operator I.
  • Learn to monitor machine performance throughout production runs, making routine adjustments to maintain quality, improve efficiency, and resolve minor process or equipment issues.
  • Learn to perform machine setups, verify tooling, and ensure equipment is operating according to work instructions and production requirements.
  • Learn to safely operate assigned production machines and equipment.
  • Learn to conduct in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools to verify dimensional accuracy and tolerance compliance.
