Description
The Title III Project Director is a federally funded position focused on enhancing student success through a comprehensive five-year initiative. The Director will oversee all aspects of the project, ensuring alignment with federal guidelines and grant expectations while tracking progress and effectiveness through collaboration with evaluators. This position is key to the development and improvement of an early alert system that identifies and supports students facing academic challenges, using data insights to shape effective strategies. A central part of the role involves coordinating with various campus departments to boost retention efforts and implementing targeted programs for students who need additional support.
The Director provides leadership for project operations, assessment activities, budget management, regulatory compliance and reporting requirements. Through collaboration with faculty, staff, and campus partners, the Director advances institutional priorities and ensures effective implementation of Title III initiatives that strengthen academic support and student success.
Job Duties
- Oversee the development and implementation of all aspects of the Title III grant
- Ensure that the program operates in compliance with all terms and conditions of the grant and all federal regulations
- Assists the external evaluator and the internal monitoring team in ongoing and formative and annual project evaluation
- Oversee the development, implementation, and management of the institution’s early alert and student intervention system
- Provide strategic direction and continuous improvement efforts to enhance early alert and student success initiatives
- Analyze data collected from the early alert system to identify trends, at-risk student populations, and potential areas of improvement
- Use data analytics to drive student retention efforts, improve outcomes, and report regularly to senior leadership
- Collaborate with faculty, college success advisors, student support services, and other relevant departments to ensure effective student intervention and retention strategies
- Optimize the institution’s early alert system, ensuring faculty, staff, and students are properly trained and equipped to utilize its features
- Develop, implement, and evaluate student intervention programs, ensuring timely and effective support for students facing academic challenges
- Create targeted intervention strategies for high-risk student populations, based on early alert data
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Administrative and/or supervisory experience
- Demonstrated experience of grant administration; managing federal awards, programs, and reporting
- Effective project management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and maintain student records
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
- Enthusiastic and dedicated to helping students succeed
- Self-starter with the ability to perform with little to no direct supervision
- Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record
Physical Demands
- The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
