Job summary

SSA in Philadelphia is seeking a part-time Title I Program Assistant to support teachers and students in reading and mathematics, and to assist in the coordination of instructional activities within the Title I program.

The role involves circulating in classrooms, tutoring students, preparing displays, and helping with parent workshops, attendance, and related clerical tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be highly qualified as defined by SSA.
• One of: Associate degree, 60 college credits, or pass the Highly Qualified Exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching and non-teaching staff in Title I program.
• Provide instructional assistance in major subjects (reading and mathematics).
• Assist in preparation of instructional activities and materials.
• Contact parents/guardians to provide information on student progress.
• Monitor attendance and support behavior initiatives.
